Intranel and our VisionsLive partner engaged with the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Business and Commercial Banking division at an early concept stage to develop a social media strategy and identify a way the bank could help UK businesses connect and learn better through an online business community. Several concepts were developed and subsequently prototyped with the Business Propositions team at RBS. After this period of consulting, Intranel was invited to tender for the contract to build, deliver, and maintain the final BizCrowd web application. We won this contract, and subsequently implemented Bizcrowd on-time and on-budget in 2012-2013. RBS is a highly complex corporate environment and this involved engaging and bringing on board over 100 stakeholders in the process. RBS has since advertised Bizcrowd on primetime TV, and has also prominently featured in a sponsorship at Lords Stadium in the UK in 2013.
Intranel and VisionsLive completed the major phase of this project for RBS on time and on budget. RBS is a ‘top 3’ UK bank, and provided us fantastic experience in working with a complex, multi-tiered client.
Public release of BizCrowd.com has been highly successful, with 6000+ corporate users 2 months from beta launch, and over 32,000 registered businesses in under a year from launch. Our team designed and lead much of the onboarding process for BizCrowd, working closely with the onsite business team at the Royal Bank of Scotland to ensure a successful implementation and launch.
Bizcrowd is fully accessible to WCAG 2.0 AA compliance and hosted to provide bank level security as well as high availability and geographic failover.
